Leer Orient Tours iets beter kennen door onze Q&A met Sarah.
Introduction
My name is Sarah and I work in the tourism industry since I finished my studies ten years ago. I am working at Orient Tours in the UAE & Oman as Guest Service & Product Development Manager. I love to travel and enjoy the beach with a good book.
What are your companies greatest strengths?
More than 35 years of experience, professionalism, multi-lingual and cultural staff, dedication to what we do, unique products that provide the traveler with more than the normal tourism spots but give more insight into the real destination, its people culture, traditions, religion, cuisine,... We have been awarded multiple times over the past decades.
What are the USP's for your destination
Safety, quality of service, value for money, weather, location of the country (not far from many parts of the world) variety of offers in a small country (beaches, desert, mountains, big cities, shopping, world records, beautiful hinterlands,..
Tell us about the best part of your job?
The best part is to show our guests the beauty of this country and providing them with a smooth and satisfying holiday that will let them travel home with memories of a life time.
What’s one tip or trick you can share with us, that you use on a daily basis to do your job more quickly or efficiently?
Focus. Organize. To-Do-lists and reminders. Eat the frog first.
What do you like most about working with Dutch and Belgian Travel & MICE managers
Their interest in providing their clients something unique of best quality and offering additional ideas to add to their clients' holidays. They usually know their clients very well.
Why should the Travel/MICE agent book with you instead of an online booking site, incentive house or direct with the hotel?
The Orient Tours-Team has experience in offering tailor made holidays depending on the requirements of the guest. We have out-of-the box ideas that you won't be able to find by booking online. Further, we have our Guest Service Team always available for the guests to assist them in emergency and "casual situations".
What effect do you expect the current pandemic to have on international travel over the next year or so?
We believe with most people being stuck in their home now, every one will be happy to be able to travel again so we are looking forward to welcoming our valuable guests soon again in the beautiful UAE and Oman
Could we be seeing an end to the current era of mass tourism?
It may decrease a bit in the near future but will most likely return to the level of pre-corona after a couple of months.
How are you dealing with the current situation and how do you see the coming future of travel
The mind of people will be changed at least for a while, however, for many nations traveling is not only a luxury but a normality in their yearly planning.
Final Message:
Stay home now to travel soon again. We look forward to letting you experience the Arabian hospitality very soon again!
